Workshops by Pitch Lake
Part of Pitch Lake's ethos is to take our company member's experience and love of theatre, out into our community and beyond. We know the healing power of engaging with the arts and this knowledge is what forms the basis of many of our workshops and outreach work. Using drama as a means to communicate and develop each individuals creative potential, whilst having fun, this is our aim. Our team have training and experience in different fields which means we can offer a combination of different workshops and outreach work to meet our community’s differing needs and level of experience.
Writing workshops with Michelle Inniss
Our Artistic Director Michelle has had thirty years of experience working with children and adults in different settings facilitating art and creative writing workshops. She was the co-founder of Arts for Freedom, an Arts Therapeutic Project for Homeless and Refugee Children in Camden, which ran from 1999-2004.
Most recently Michelle ran a highly successful 6 week short story workshop series in partnership with Cricklewood Library as part of their #WHATSTHESTORY scheme. Over the course of the workshops participants of all abilities and experience levels developed key skills in short story writing and a final short story piece which was then performed aloud to the group - some participants read their work aloud to others for the very first time.
Michelle's creative writing workshops have also gone into school's most notably working over several years with Anson Primary School and Hampstead Secondary School.
Contact us to have Michelle bring her workshops and expertise to your local area or organisation. Michelle also offers private creative writing tutoring in playwriting and short story craft.
