Who we are and our vision
Pitch Lake is an extraordinary place in Trinidad, a lake of tar on which you can stand. This is what we are doing as a production company, laying strong foundations on which we can stage issues which we see are not spoken about today but we feel should be.

Associate Artistic Director
Rocio Rodriguez-Inniss"I'm passionate about people - how we connect with each other and how theatre can help to mend broken connections. I'm most interested in feminist, BAME-led productions that say something different, something we haven't heard before and might have thought of but haven't had the words or the courage to talk about. Pitch Lake Productions, for me, is about creating work and running community workshops which make that change in our industry."
Rocio Rodriguez-Inniss is an actress, writer and artist. Nine of her short stories will be published in 2020 in her debut pamphlet - Useless Now But Beautiful Still. Her theatre credits include: Moonfleece, The Pleasance (2018). DNA, The Courtyard Theatre (2017). Wonder Girl, The Pleasance Theatre (2017). Associate Artist
Cathy Tyson"Whilst a mature student at university, I dreamed of having a theatre company that would provide work for mature actresses. But I was too scared to tell anyone. I thought I would be laughed at. A couple of years after graduation and the dream is a reality in the form of Pitch Lake Productions. Now I am involved in a company I am proud of that will include developing work for mature actresses. I am ecstatic…to be part of a theatre company with great people who share some of the ideals I hold. Those ideals encompass story telling that creates new lead roles for BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) artists and fostering leadership skills in BAME artists.”
